Masham pub re-opens '¨as local champion

The Bay Horse Inn, which is now run by Gill Nicholls, is now open for business and will launch its food service in the coming weeks with the promise of ‘Yorkshire tapas’ and its own pizza oven.
The Local Hero agreement focuses on celebrating everything local. At the bar, licensees are expected to stock half of their cask ales from local breweries – in this case Theaktons and Black Sheep – while Suffolk-based Greene King beers form the other half; meat, vegetables and bread are also sourced from local providers.

We have a sausage supplier a couple of doors down from us and they will be an important ingredient for our Yorkshire tapas idea.
“I was previously managing the King’s Head in Masham so I know the area and the people well and I am determined to establish this pub at the heart of the community.
“The buzz ahead of us opening here was huge and I know everyone locally is really excited by the refurbishment.”
