How has the Harrogate rail line fared amid timetable change?

Extra stops have been introduced along the Harrogate line

Additional calls at stations along the Harrogate line have been introduced in the latest changes to the railway timetable.

In effect from yesterday (Sunday, May 30) the changes will see four Northern trains making extra stops at stations including Headingley, Burley Park, Pannal and Weeton. Departures of these trains have also changed by a few minutes.

One service will however not be re-instated.The 9.35am Leeds to Knaresborough Sunday service. Introduced in December, 2017 it has not been carried over into the new timetable.

Whilst the introduction of the new timetable saw commuters encounter delays and cancellations across the country the Harrogate line appears to have been unaffected.

An extra 1,300 services have been added to the Northern network, say Arriva Rail North Ltd, which runs the Northern franchise. It has previously said that around 90 per cent of it's services would be affected by the changes.

Changes to the timetable include:

Weekday morning services

7.40am Knaresborough to Leeds, will now depart at 7.37am. It will now also call at Headingley and Burley Park.

8.09am Knaresborough to Leeds will now depart at 8.06am. It will now also call at Pannal and Weeton.

8.31am Harrogate to Leeds will now also call at Pannal.

8.09am Leeds to Knaresborough will now depart at 8.07am. It will now also call at Weeton and Pannal.

Sunday service

9.35 Leeds to Knaresborough, no longer running.
