The bespoke new design will run on the 500ml Still and Sparkling bottles in 2021 and throughout 2022. The new bottle will be available at the Royal Albert Hall and through selected Harrogate Spring Water retailers.

The brief asks creatives to design a label that showcases the diverse culture of the Royal Albert Hall. Respondents are actively encouraged to use colour in their design; the new look label will reimagine the classic monochrome branding used by Harrogate Spring Water.

The initiative will be supporting the arts and creative industry which has struggled during the pandemic.

Harrogate Spring Water will be working with the creative platform Talenthouse (part of TLNT Holdings) to disseminate the 150th label design brief to their global network of one million creatives to submit their work.

An expert panel, including representatives from Harrogate Spring Water and the Royal Albert Hall, will nominate a shortlist and agree on a selected design to appear on the label, with the recipient receiving a £4,000 creative bursary. Two additional pieces of work will be chosen as finalists and will each receive a bursary of £1,000.

Aspiring artists will be given the chance to adorn the iconic diamond faceted bottle with a design that is celebratory and joyful, whilst incorporating the Royal Albert Hall 150th logo. To enter, creatives must submit their designs online via this link.

Harrogate Spring Water is Britain’s oldest bottled water, with a history dating back to 1571. The brand will provide a unique opportunity to see how creatives across the UK interpret their brand and celebrate their valued partnership with the Royal Albert Hall.

Harrogate Spring is the official water of the Royal Albert Hall. Both are quintessentially British brands and share a rich history and heritage. Whilst 2021 marks the 150th anniversary of the Royal Albert Hall, the year also marks and 450 years since the first mineral spring was discovered by William Slingsby at The Tewit Well in Harrogate.
