Fresh values pave way for prosperity and growth at Ignition Group
It is part of an employee engagement programme and supports their ongoing recruitment campaign.
The Knaresborough based electric heating specialists company, founded in 2013, has experienced significant growth over recent years and has welcomed no less than 12 new team members in 2022 alone.
Stephen Hankinson, Managing Director, said: “The reason for developing these new values was to create a clear vision for our ambitions for the future.
"So much has changed over the last few years, we have diversified our product range, grown our consumer base, developed our brand and grown the team.
"We wanted to update the values so they are aligned with who we are today and who we aspire to be in the future. The values of ‘Be Bold, Be Creative, Be Empathetic, Learn Continuously, Elevate Others and Win Together’ couldn’t be more fitting for our people.
"We are proud of the unique culture we have developed, and these values will support the prosperity and future growth of the organisation.”
The launch event was held earlier this month, seeing the team of 50 come together for the first time.
Abi Aldred, People Manager, said: “The values are an integral part of any business strategy, guiding the beliefs, actions and behaviours of any team. For us, we want to ensure our team is aligned, pulling together in the same direction, retaining our culture as the team grows.
"It was great to share and celebrate this milestone moment with the whole team and to recognise how each member has inspired the creation of these values.”
In addition to revealing new employee health and volunteering benefits, the business also celebrated a new charity partnership with Martin House Children’s Hospice, based in Wetherby.
Martin House provides free, family-led hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.
The partnership with Martin House symbolises a new chapter in their corporate social responsibility journey.
“We are looking forward to working with Martin House; it’s a cause very close to our hearts. The team were thrilled to hear that they will get opportunities to make a difference and help Martin House continue their valuable work,” said Stephen Hankinson.
The business plans on keeping up momentum with their values journey by holding training events and collaborative activities to keep them fresh and relevant.
They will also be embarking upon charity challenges over the summer, showing their commitment to what they hope will be a lasting relationship with Martin House.
