'Wonderful' new shop to open at Victoria Shopping Centre in Harrogate

New book shop opens in Harrogate

The multi-award winning jewellery brand will belocated at Victoria Shopping Centre and will be officially opening its doors this Sunday.

First established in 2014 by Harrogate's Sam McDermid and Neil Thompson, Infinity & Co has only had an online presence until now but is opening its first physical store in the town thanks to an initiative launched by Victoria Shopping Centre to support businesses in this current economic climate.

This independent shop will be located on the ground floor of Victoria Shopping Centre and covers a space of 230 sq. ft.

Sandra Doherty, chief executive and president of Harrogate District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said the new shop would provide some sparkle in the festive run-up in the challenging trading situation during the pandemic.

She said: “It's delightful to hear of a new venture in the Victoria Shopping Centre.

"Not only will it add some sparkle just before Christmas but a business willing to engage with customers face to face in a retail store is great news. Well done Infinity & Co.

Samantha McDermid, co-owner of Infinity & Co, said: 'We are absolutely delighted to be opening our first store in my hometown of Harrogate, I started my career in retail and it has always been a dream of mine to open my own shop.

“We have a wonderful location at the Victoria Avenue entrance to the Victoria Shopping Centre and we are really looking forward to welcoming old friends and new.

"We will be showcasing our gorgeous 2020 collections and as special welcome for all customers, for the first week we will be giving away a pair of earrings worth £45 with every purchase.”

Infinity & Co specialises in stunning pieces and stand-out collections that make ideal gifts for loved ones, and the shopping centre hopes it will be an inspiring retail experience for all who visit it.

As well as operating successfully online, it has also been working across the global travel retail industry,
