Latest figures from Public Health England have revealed the number of positive Covid-19 cases across the 21 regions of Harrogate district.

The area with the most confirmed cases in the seven days leading up to November 20 was Killinghall and Hampsthwaite with 26, while Central Harrogate was second with 23.

Pateley Bridge and Nidd Valley, which was also placed in Tier 2 along with the rest of North Yorkshire on Thursday, recorded zero new cases of coronavirus.

* Spofforth, Burn Bridge and Huby - 18

* Hookstone - 17

* Ouseburn, Hammerton and Tockwith - 17

* Dishthorpe, Baldersby and Markington - 15

* Stray - 15

* Ripon South and East - 13

* Boroughbridge and Marton-cum-Grafton - 12

* Knaresborough Central - 9

Meanwhile, the latest figures released by Public Health England on the number of Covid deaths and cases shows why West, South and East Yorkshire were given a higher tier than neighbours in the north.

West Yorkshire has been worst hit since the start of the pandemic last March, with Leeds recording 732 deaths and Bradford 620.
