Peter Jesper, vice president of the Harrogate Chamber of Trade and Commerce and owner of Jespers on Oxford Street said the addition of up market brands will help to set the town apart from other places in the UK.

He said: “Harrogate was not immune to the pressures on the high street after the recession, so it is great to see retailers interested in the town.

“Up market brands are attractive to visitors and, along side the town’s independent reatilers, they allow Harrogate to offer much more than the ‘me too’ shopping experience of many other town centres.”
