What’s coming up at Harrogate Theatre...

Superstar Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges may be in Harrogate for a special warm-up date at Harrogate Theatre tonight, Wednesday but he’s by no means the only highlight at the venue in April.

The Glaswegian is road testing his latest show under the title Work in Progress in preparation for a tour of huge venues.

Other comedy nights coming up include 2014 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Liam Williams’ hit show Capitalism on Wednesday, April 22.

A man who rates Harrogate as one of the top five comedy towns in the world, Mock the Week star Andy Parsons brings his latest show to the theatre on Thursday, April 30.

Called Live and Unleashed - But Naturally Cautious, it’s the fifth live shown.

But there’s more to Harrogate Theatre than comedy. There’s music from singer Cara Dillon at Harrogate Theatre on Friday, April 10 and Ripon Amateur Operatics Society from Wednesday, April 22 to Saturday, April 25.

Drama fans can look forward to Richard Harris’s gripping West End hit The Business of Murder which stars Robert Gwilym, known for his role as Dr Max Gallagher in Casualty, alongside Paul Opacic (a regular in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks) and Joanna Higson (veteran of two series of Shameless and currently appearing as Vicky Hall in BBC TV’s WPC56).

On a different note, anyone interested in the great outdoors will want to see famous mountaineer Sir Chris Bonnington at the Royal Hall on Wednesday, April 15 and the BANFF Mountain Film Festival at the same venue on Wednesday, April 22.
