Vince Cable advisor Vicky Price to talk at The Salon

Harrogate International Festival’s acclaimed series of talks - Salon North - returns this month with its latest event in a series of related topics.

Entitled Health, Wealth and Happiness, the second event takes place on Thursday, November 27 at 7.30pm at the Masonic Hall in Harrogate.

The latest in this themed series of exciting talks is dedicated to Wealth and will feature leading UK experts including Vicky Price, economics advisor to Vince Cable and ex-wife of disgraced Lib Dem Chris Huhne.

She will be joined by the Financial Times best-selling writer Margaret Heffernan and Neuroscientist Dr Sandrine Thuret.

Together with the audience, they will explore the concept of ‘Wealth’ why do we need it? How do we achieve it? And how do we keep it?

Devised by Helen Bagnall, The Salon is London’s most talked about night out brought to the north by Harrogate International Festivals.

It delivers a night of the most stimulating ideas in art, science and psychology designed to change your life for the better.

Pryce, author of Greekonomics and Prisonomics offers a rounded understanding on the definition of wealth and why it’s so important on the world stage.

Margaret Heffernan, known for her high concept ideas, draws on her bestseller A Bigger Prize to show that it’s collaboration, not competition that paves the way to much wealthier lives.

And as more of us need to work into our dotage neuroscientist Dr Sandrine Thuret, who heads leading research in to neurogenesis (the creation of new brain cells) at UCL, reveals how food can keep cognitive function in tip top condition.

The Salon series will conclude in January with a night focussed on Happiness.
