Produced for Channel 4 by Keo Films Ltd, A Taste of the Yorkshire Dales saw the cameras follow Frances as she created new meals at this Nidderdale restaurant.

As well as focusing on her dedication to using local, fresh seasonal ingredients – from grouse and crab to lush autumn berries - the show revealed how much Frances and co-owner Bill Atkins worry about retaining their Michelin status.

The Channel 4 programme showed just how much the pressure to remain at the top Frances and her close knit team at the Yorke Arms are under.

But it also showed this village country inn in all its glory, the flagstoned bar, its old beams, log fires, wooden tables and settles.

And Frances’ ability to come up with consistently inventive menus as one of only six female Michelin starred chefs in the UK came across loud and clear.
It’s a status she has held continually since 2003, no mean feat in the modern restaurant business.
