Tolkien treat at Curzon Ripon cinema

The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies.

When Curzon Ripon opened just about a year ago, the team behind it said there and then it was going to be more than just a place to watch movies, albeit a very nice one.

As good as their word, the cinema is shortly to play host to an art exhibition sure to appeal to fans of Lord of the Rings.

Now Far Ahead The Road Has Gone: An Exhibition of Art inspired by the Works of JRR Tolkien will be launched with a special preview evening on Friday, December 12.

The exhibition, intended as a high-profile cultural event for Ripon, will open just days before the final instalment of The Hobbit movie series, The Battle of the Five Armies begins its screening run at Curzon.
