Tips from Yorke Arms chef at Bettys Cookery School

Bettys Cookery School in Harrogate is to offer keen cooks Michelin star tips from Frances Atkins.

The exclusive series of seasonal demonstrations wll be helmed by Michelin-starred chef Frances Atkins of The Yorke Arms in Ramsgill, nationally recognised as one of the country’s top restaurants.

Frances, a fellow of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, and one of only six female Michelin-starred chefs in the UK, will be presenting her first class with the support of tutors at the Harrogate-based School, on Tuesday, March 24.

Head of Bettys Cookery School, Emma Wray said: “We are so proud and thrilled to offer all keen cooks countrywide this new, exciting and unique opportunity to gain new inspiration and techniques from Frances and the Bettys Cookery School team.”

Called Cooking and Conversation with Frances Atkins – Spring, the demonstration will feature a Michelin-Star main dish with versatility, created with local, seasonal ingredients.

Running between 10am and 2pm, the class includes lunch of a taster plate designed by Frances, followed by a Bettys dessert.

There will only be 24 places available per demonstration and Bettys anticipates heaby demand. Early booking is recommended.

The Yorke Arms, at Ramsgill in Nidderdale has been awarded a Michelin Star every year since 2003.

As well as growing her own herbs and vegetables in the garden of the Restaurant, Frances is passionate about fresh, local seasonal produce.

Three further seasonal cooking demonstrations at Bettys are planned with Frances for summer, autumn and winter.
