Stunning video to UK Foo Fighters charity single

Life has come full circle for the lead singer of Harrogate-based UK Foo Fighters.

Having watched Snake Davis as a youngster on stage at the long-gone venue The Duchess, Jay Apperley recently recruited the British sax great to play on his new single which will be available on iTunes from Saturday.

The sessions for the UK Foos’ version of the real Foos’ track In The Clear took place in the Kaiser Room in Leeds, so called because is it the Kaiser Chiefs’ own studio.

Jay said: “My first ever gig was in Leeds watching this local band Zoot and the Roots, one of the best groups to come out of Harrogate.

“I had no idea at the time that Snake was on stage and that 20 years later he would be playing on our record!”

As recorded by Jay, Jamie Valentine (lead guitar), Arron Warner (bass), Nick Wight (keyboards), Alex Bailey (drums) and Snake, In The Clear is being released for two local charities - Given to Live and Leeds Music Trust whose patron is Ricky Wilson of The Kaiser Chiefs.

There’s also a stunning new video for the song filmed at Harrogate’s Blues Bar with Jay and co by local team Ont’ Sofa, designed to replicate the smokey New Orleans atmosphere of the real Foos’ video.

It’s available to watch now on YouTube.

Please note, the charity single itself goes live from Saturday, April 18 under under artist name Sonic Motorways on iTunes because of iTunes regulations.

It will also be available from Amazon and many other stores from Saturday, April 18.
