Up next is Mozart’s sparkling oboe concerto with featured soloist, Stephen Hudson, now principal oboe of Royal Northern Sinfonia and former Vacation Chamber Orchestras & St Cecilia player, Stephen Hudson, from Thirsk.

Edward Elgar then brings a little romance to the evening putting the rich chocolate tones of the bassoon in the spotlight with his Romance for bassoon featuring the talented young bassoon soloist Richard Beards.

Rounding off the evening is Beethoven in a humorous mood with his witty and playful Symphony No 4.
