Party time as Abba Mania set to hit Royal Hall

The future of Harrogate’s Royal Hall is looking brighter - and it’s not all down to the Abba Mania concert coming up shortly.

This year the Grade II* listed venue has really absorbed the Christmas spirit with a wonderful display of festive lights on the outside of the building.

There are icicle lights and numerous chandeliers hanging from the canopy together with a huge circular medallion above them. For the first time a Christmas tree has been installed in front of the bay window.

The lighting scheme is a very classical gold and silver theme.

The festive setting will be enjoyed by all those patrons attending the many christmas shows throughout December at the Royal Hall.

One of these will be the Abba Mania show being presented by the Royal Hall Restoration Trust to raise funds for continued improvements at the venue.

It is renowned for being a real party show featuring the foot tapping/sing-a-long and dance music made famous by ABBA, the Swedish pop group who stormed the charts around the world in the 1970s and early 1980s.

The band may have broken up in 1982 but their songs remain as popular as ever, thanks partly to the success of the Mamma Mia movie and stagr show.

December shows at the hall also include:
