Knaresborough writer’s book launch at Art in the Mill

The third book of a Knaresborough author’s series of brilliantly-illustrated children’s stories will be launched this weekend.

Written by Pamela E Currie with illustrations by her daughter Fiona Odle, A Fishy Tale is the fnal instalment of the fun trilogy called The Amazing Adventures of Gus & Barney.

The launch event will take place at The Art in the Mill in Green Dragon Yard this Saturday, August 1.

Pamela’s stories are based on true events at the author’s riverside cottage in Knaresborough, where two mischievous friends, Gus the tall white goose, and Barney the Muscovy duck, go on a series of exciting adventures.

All three of the Gus and Barney books - Getting into Mischief, Escape to the Seaside and A Fishy Tale will be on sale and the author will be available to sign copies.

There will also be greeting cards and prints on sale at the launch.

Published by Nidd Gorge Books and printed by Amazon, all three books are also available at Castlegate Books, Knaresborough, and Amazon Books.

Pamela Currie will also be reading extracts from her books at the Urban Beach at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre as part of feva festival on Friday, August 21 at 2pm.
