Harrogate Grammar hosts week of music

Harrogate Grammar School will be hosting musical performances and workshops from January 12 to 16, 2015.

Features include: a jazz workshop on January 12 from 1pm with jazz pianists Pete Rosser and Charlie Wood and singer Jacquie Dankworth, a classical workshop on January 13 from 4pm with cellist Sally Pendlebury, and a conducting a score workshop on January 14 from 5.30pm with conductor Peter Selwyn.

On January 15 drummer Dexter Hercules and bassist Chris Dagger will give a workshop on drum and bass from 2pm and will perform from 4.30pm, with a battle of the bands from 7pm, and on January 16 composer John Lunn, the BAFTA Award winning composer of Downton Abbey, will give a talk about composing for film and television from 5pm.
