It’s not exactly the Brit Awards but the Harrogate Advertiser Series’ Gig Scene album of the year has been running for more than 15 years now.

Aiming to recognise the best recorded work by local acoustic and rock musicians, this year’s top five local records in the opinion of Gig Scene Editor Graham Chalmers have been:

1. Magna Carta: Fields of Eden (album).
