Tickets are going well for the third Bedale Acoustic Music Festival (BAMfest) which will take place in Bedale from May 29-31 this year.

Following on from last year’s huge success, organisers have announced the main artists who will be performing at this year’s festival on their revamped website at www.bamfest.co.uk.

Among the artists appearing at BAMfest this year will be Martin Stephenson and The Daintees, Blackbeard’s Tea Party, Babajack, Henry Priestman, Duncan McFarlane, Flossie Malavialle, and the Young’uns.

Organiser John Knighton said: “Our first two festivals delivered a real mix of musical styles and this year is no different. I am really excited by the amount of musical talent we are bringing to Bedale.”

From his critically acclaimed debut in the 1980s with Boat to Bolivia, Martin Stephenson has been one of the UK’s best-loved musicians for 30 years.

His “must see” live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force, combining intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation.

Blackbeard’s Tea Party appeared at the very first BAMfest in 2013 and went down a storm with their lively contemporary folk rock act.

Henry Priestman, a former member of the chart-topping band, The Christians, is the patron of BAMfest and returns to the festival with his band.

Award-winning roots blues duo Babajack return to BAMfest after their amazing concert last year.

This time they are bringing their full band from what promises to be a festival highlight.

The format of the festival will largely remain the same with music in local pubs, clubs and cafes in Bedale across the weekend.
