From humble beginnings with the intention of bringing like-minded people together, it has grown to be one of the largest, most popular, events in the Yorkshire calendar and has been listed as one of the top ten must see biggest events of 2016.

A Yorkshire Cosplay spokesman said of the world record bid: "We will collate as much evidence as possible to provide to them to prove that the event took place and if the record was broken.

"Whatever the outcome from this Guinness World Records decision is final. They are entitled to disqualify individual participants or the entire attempt."

"We want to help Cash For Kids raise £2,000. A minimum £1 donation per person taking part can help do this. You can make the donation as you have your photo taken on entry at their desk. Photos taken on the day will be available after the event."
