Opening Harrogate International Festivals’ Sunday Series for 2015 will be acclaimed pianist Sunwook Kim.

The 23-year-old South Korean maestro is first up in an impressive line-up coming to the intimate confines of the Old Swan Hotel on a Sunday morning at 11am.

His programme will include Bach’s Partita No.2 in C minor BWV 826, Beethoven’s Sonata No.21 in C major, Op.53 ‘Waldstein’ and Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition.

Accompanied, as always, by good coffee, this year’s series also includes string quartet the Badke Quartet performing Haydn, Stravinsky and Schubert on Sunday, February 8, another string-extraordinaire, Dutch violinist Simone Lamsma on March 1, renowned clarinettist Emma Johnson on March 29 and young Italian pianist Federico Colli on April 12.
