I enjoyed talking to Beverley Craven so much on the phone a few years back I nearly went to her show in Knaresborough - and her bestselling tunes aren’t fully my cup of tea.

The warm-voiced 90s songstress is making her return to the town’s intimate Frazer Theatre venue on September 13 as part of a major UK tour.

The BRIT Award winner will be promoting her brand new album, Change of Heart which is released by Universal Records in two weeks’ time.

Rising to fame in the early 1990s with her multi-million selling debut album, Beverley enjoyed further success with Love Scenes and hit singles Promise Me and Holding On.

The new album is part not only of a career revival but also a personal resurrection after a decade of turbulence which has seen her beat breast cancer, then survive the break-up of her 20-year marriage.

The audience at Frazer Theatre, where she last played in 2010, will be treated to her big hits plus new material from Change of Heart which features 10 emotionally-honest new songs plus a fresh version of her 1991 hit Memories.

Presented by Frazer Theatre Music, tickets are available from Rock Steady Music in Harrogate, Pear Records in Knaresborough or via www.frazertheatre.co.uk
