Artist’s new papercut marks three years at Dovetree

Harrogate artist Anita Bowerman, who has become renowned locally for her popular papercuts, in particular, is showing her latest work as part of the third birthday of her studio next week.

Based at Dove Tree Art Studio at Back Granville Road just behind Cardamom Black restaurant, the celebration on Wednesday, December 17 will feature a new paper cut Anita specially created for GSAL, the Grammar School at Leeds for their seasonal greetings card.

A former pupil herself, the delicate design is called Winter, a moment in time and features a stag and other woodland animals found in the countryside .

Commissions have flooded in for Anita’s expertise since she opened the studio three years ago including a map of Le Tour route in Yorkshire in the summer which was unveiled by the mayor of Harrogate.

Anita’s paper cuts have also been exhibited at Weetons, Bean and Bud, Jespers and Fit to Bust.

The public is invited to join her for a glass of bubbly from 10am- 9pm next to see her latest collection of paper cuts, prints and paintings.
