6:12’s unique version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet

The latest production by one of Harrogate’s smallest but most acclaimed theatre companies, 6:12, brings back two people whose last involvement with the company was in the unique performance of Walton’s Façade and other classical pieces on the man in stage of Harrogate Theatre in 2009.

Alasdair Jamieson, the conductor of the orchestra on that occasion, has this time turned his creative hand to composing for this original adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet for one actor.

All of the music in the latest play, which runs at Harrogate Theatre Studio from October 22-25, has been devised to be in keeping with the concept of the production.

Alasdair is a teaching fellow in the Department of
