Northern clubland’s finest return with Rhythm, Blues and a barrel load of laughs in a reunion to end all reunions.

The Booze Brothers runs from Friday, July 8 to Saturday, July 16.

The impressive stage was co-designed by Kathryn Crookes and actor Phil Shepherd based on the former Farm Road WMC in Kendray, says Jack.

"It really is a work of art. It's a slice or working men's club life. No detail has been overlooked," he said.

"Thwe production is the Booze Brothers, but it will appeal to Blue Brothers fans, with a smoking hot Northern Soul soundtrack, from Rescue Me to Band of Gold, Tainted Love, In The Midnight Hour, Mustang Sally and The Snake, which is a big crowd pleaser and an original song I've composed, The Booze Brothers, which is the big anthem for the finale of the show.

"It wouldn't surprise me if people turned up in the shades and hats, coming as Jake and Elwood. We have some packed houses to look forward to.

"The roles of Sam and Dave Barton, the Booze Brothers, are played by Barnsley theatrical heavyweights, figuratively and literally, that's Phil Shepherd and Will Bisby, with a great supporting cast. I'm even in it, as the concert secretary."

The super talent, who has written and starred in many other plays and musical events at the venue, added "As with all my productions, it starts of life here. From there, who knows. The problem is I have got a 1,000 ideas and I want to do them all."

He said: "I've been contracted by Qdos, the premiere league pantomime company, to play the nurse in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, alongside Lesley Joseph and Duncan James at the Plymouth Theatre Royal.

"It's the part Les Dawson made famous at the theatre where he performed his last pantomime, so it's a little spooky, especially after playing Les a couple of years ago is Cissie and Ada. I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be weird not being on my home turf, but I'm going to fly the flag for South Yorkshire."
