After the recent success of An evening with Gary Lineker, Knaresborough Players are already looking ahead to their autumn play.
The October production will be a comedy with the Players unleashing again those wild women from the Farndale Housing Estate’s Townswomen’s Guild with their unusual production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Just when the citizens of Knaresborough thought they were safe, the Players are planning to release comedy mayhem in the form of eight women and three men whose sole ambition is to get to the national finals of an amateur theatre competition.
“The Farndale series of plays are always popular and this promises to provide opportunities for actors who have “always wanted to play Shakespeare”, or to see how not to do it,” said John Westmancoat, of the Players..
A play read-through will take place at the Frazer Theatre on Thursday June 1 at 7.30pm, with open auditions on Tuesday June 13 . Come along and meet the Players.
The Frazer Theatre is situated off the High Street in Knaresborough, just behind Tesco. For more information visit the website: http://www.frazertheatre.co.uk/whats-on/ or telephone: 01423 866658.
The play runs at the Frazer from October 11 to 14.
