IF you thought 2011 was good for comedy at Harrogate Theatre, you haven’t laughed at anything yet.

Next year gets off to a flying start in January and February with some of the biggest and best names in British and international comedy.

Tickets are almost sold out for comedy heavyweights Stewart Lee (Wednesday, February 29) and Chris Addison (Friday, February 3) but an extra date for Chris has been added on Wednesday, June 6 due to phenomenal demand.

Ex-heavy metal drummer and Australian comic Steve Hughes, who stormed the stage this month on Live at the Apollo alongside comics Sarah Millican and Russell Kane, embarks on his debut national tour which stops off at Harrogate Theatre on Monday, February 6.

Seasoned comic Richard Herring returns to the Harrogate Theatre stage on Wednesday, February 22 with yet another hit show.

And in Harrogate Studio Theatre the line-up includes subversive and charming Josie Long on Friday, January 27 and silent movie-esque style comedy from Awkward Cough Theatre Company on Tuesday, February 7 in the Harrogate Studio Theatre.

Last, but not least, Harrogate’s longest-running monthly comedy club the Hyena Comedy Club, which has now moved to the more convenient Saturday night, due to popular demand, boasts a great January line-up, includes none other than the cheerful Geordie comic Jason Cook on Saturday, January 21.
