GRAB your flared jeans and biker jackets, real rockers are coming to town.
GMT are coming to play West Park Hotel in Harrogate on Saturday, November 5.
Led by guitar god Bernie Torme, best known for stepping in and saving the day for Ozzy Osbourne when Randy Rhoads tragically died, he was also at one time lead ‘axe-man’ for the Gillan band.
Torme also formed the nucleus of Desperado with Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider and ex Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, as well as fronting his own bands Electric Gypsies with Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns/ Girl fame.
The show has been organised by local businessman Jamie Lennox who said: “there are bound to be fireworks on the night, but of a different kind! These guys will bring the full show to this intimate venue - so it’s full on “in yer face” rock and roll.”
Also in the band are John McCoy who has played with the likes of Gillan, Mammoth, Samson, Joey Belladonna, U.K. Subs, Atomic Rooster and more and drummer Robin Guy whose CV includes Bruce Dickinson, Faith No More, Lars Frederiksen, Casey Chaos, The Business, Rachel Stamp, All About Eve, the list goes on.
GMT will be playing tracks from their three albums Bitter & Twisted, Evil Twin and the live album Raw Live.
Tickets cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door.
Lennox is also welcoming back The Pat McManus Band to the same venue on November 11.
This former Mama’s Boys member has a new album out Walking Through Shadows after touring Europe constantly over the past few months where he remains highly popular.
Support comes from Paul Miro, the ex-Apes, Pigs and Spacemen front man, playing an acoustic set and The Southern Rogues.
