RIPLEYBlues’ latest promotion tomorrow night stars a band who backed blues great Howlin’ Wolf.
Formed in 1964 The Juncos were the backing band for Wolf on his 24-date tour of the UK in 1970 and also played some dates with Freddie King.
Now returned to their R’n’B roots, they continue to receive fantastic support from a growing and enthusiastic audience to this day.
Appearing tomorrow night at Ripley Town Hall, they usually play at only a few well-selected concerts and blues festivals.
The band enjoy the talents of two unique singers who combine Soul and Blues with spontaneous good humour, as well as dual lead guitarists.
RipleyBlues’ programme also includes:
Saturday, December 3: Martin Harley in Ripley Town Hall’s upstairs Blues Room.
December 17: Nine Below Zero.
December 31: New Year’s Eve Party.
January 21: The Hamsters.For tickets, visit www.ripleyblues.com
