Equally loved by BBC Radio 2 and Radio 3 listeners, Harry the Piano “has an uncanny ability to play any tune in any style” noted The Independent – “and he proves it time and time again by taking live requests and playing them in any requested style, you have never ever heard the piano played like this”.

The late Terry Wogan described him as “the best show I’ve ever seen”, while BBC Radio 3’s Sean Rafferty said “Harry followed a conventional musical education but choose to offer something new – demonstrating how tunes from one genre can be transformed effortlessly into another”.

Concert society chairman Roger Higson said: “We deliberately designed this programme for parents and children (under 18s come free). How often have we heard great performers saying that they took up music as a result of hearing a memorable live concert as a youngster? Harry the Piano has that special ability to both entertain and inspire.”

Last May, Harry played to a packed house at a Music in the Round concert in Sheffield.
