The Kill for a Seat Comedy club at Great Northern Wine in Ripon is celebrating its second anniversary.
The collaboration between the club and the Ripon wine merchants on Blossomgate has gone from strength to strength with nights held on the last Tuesday of every month.
It has featured some of the best up-and-coming comic talent alongside established headliners.
Kill for a Seat Comedy is headed by Silky, a comedian and compare in his own right.
Kill for a Seat Comedy started in 1994 and now has 18 gigs and two festivals across the UK, with emphasis on theatres and arts centres including the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.
Sarah Millican, Kevin Bridges, Ross Noble, Jimmy Carr, John Bishop, Rob Brydon, Shappi Khorsandi, Andy Parsons and Lucy Porter have all performed .
“I aim for my clubs to be the best they can be for all concerned; for the audience, for the performers, for the venues,” said Silky.
Performing at the anniversary night on Tuesday, August 30, will be Kai Humphreys and Mike Newall. Silky will be compere for the evening.
Tickets are £10 in advance only. Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm performance.
