‘Good Life’ star’s backing for young filmmaker’s latest work

A TALENTED young movie maker from Harrogate with experience across the industry has premiered not one but three new film projects this week.

Head of Harrogate film production company DeCantillon Films, 20-year-old Timothy Reynard launched The Only One Who Can Slow Down the Thunder at the Harrogate Odeon on Tuesday.

The event included the screening of three unique films produced and directed by this budding film director:

The Only One Who Knows You’re Afraid – set immediately after the heroic Commando raid on St Nazaire in 1942 filmed on location in France as well as at Hull Docks, the River Nidd and Dacre Community Hall.

Slow Down the Time – an eerie “short” focussing on a young couple.

Thunder From Her Heart - where Tim uses the theme of footballing and fame, romance and revenge to produce an evocative and intensively explosive combination.

Reynard, who established in 2005,s aid he was delighted that distinguished actor Richard Briers CBE of The Good Life and Monarch of the Glen fame agreed to provde the atmospheric narration to The Only One Who Knows You’re Afraid.

Previously, Timothy’s projects have enjoyed funding by North Yorkshire County Council and the National Lottery but, because of the current economic climate, the last two films in the list were funded by Tim and others’ goodwill alone.

DeCantillon Films, was set up to develop, support and mentor fellow young people who want to get into the film industry.

Since its launch the company has produced a number of films attracting recognition from film critics and industry professionals including Academy Award nominee and Cannes Film Festival winner ]Ken Russell (Tommy, Women in Love, Lady Chatterley) and Hugo Heppell (The Damned United and This is England).
