A YOUNG filmmaker from Harrogate has premiered his latest movie at the Royal Hall.
Ben Derrick, 20, screened his new film Trendi at the historic venue.
The movie has been shot at locations around Harrogate and Pateley Bridge, including Bettys’ Imperial Room.
“I couldn’t have been happier with how the premiere went,” Ben said.
“The film was well-received, with several members of the audience telling me afterwards that ‘the script was just excellent’ and ‘each member of the cast was superb, with some real talent from Pateley Bridge Dramatics Society’.”
Ben has already begun work on his next film, and hopes to have cameras rolling by next summer.
“It’s an even bigger production and an ambitious venture indeed - many people in the industry might say it was impossible on a low budget.
“However, that won’t stop me creating another exciting film and I am determined to do it,” he said.
