A Knaresborough attraction has recently opened a new £50,000 playground.

The new area at Mother Shipton’s Cave provides a range of play equipment for younger children, including a rope swing, see saw, spring rockers and hammocks, and a larger area for picnics.

Fiona Martin, Owner of Mother Shipton’s, said: “After an extremely successful response from the £50,000 playground installed last year we felt it was important to replace some more of the older existing playground equipment to further enhance family experiences here at mother Shipton’s cave. It is extremely important to me to retain the natural beauty of the park whilst allowing visitors of all ages to enjoy their visit. The natural wood playground is very much in keeping with the surroundings.”
