Abrand new literary festival has been launched in Knaresborough.

Release the Hounds festival is present ng talent from around the country in a long weekend of poetry and performance events across the town’s pubs and a variety of locations.

Organiser Stephanie Jones, a 27-year-old ex- King James’s School sixth former, is hoping to involve audiences in instant reviews.

Audience members will be invited to visit the ‘Hound Pound’ video booth, to make a brief comment on video regarding their opinion of the performance for posting on social media.
