Young singers and dancers from a Knaresborough performing arts school are celebrating TV appearances and scholarshps to prestigious colleges.

Four students from Freedom Performing Arts have starred on the small screen recently and a fifth – 18 year old Hannah Grafton – has been awarded a part scholarship to a three year course in musical Theatre at the Jonathan Wilkes Academtn of Performing Arts in Surrey.

And Hannah has also appeard on Sky 1’s “Got to Dance” with classmate Georgia Garrard, 17.

Classmate Bekki Stevenson, 15, appeared on CBBC’s Comic Relief does Glee Club as a soloist, and even made it into the live shows.

Another Freedom student, Ilana Weets is currently waiting for her results from auditions for places on Muscial Theatre courses,

And at the school, Knaresborough dance teacher Wenda Simpson has begun to teach junior ballet and tap.
