Knitting Pretty won the 2012 cup for the best dressed window during the 10-day Knaresborough FEVA celebrations.

The shop, just off the market place, also used its FEVA display to raise £150 for the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity.

The competition was judged by the FEVA organising committee and members of the Town’s Youth Council. Wild Orchid and Gloss tied for second place, and Scope and Sue Ryder tied for third.

FEVA chairman John Minarysaid: “This is a lovely example of how becoming involved in the FEVA best dressed window competition can help others. It shows how the community all pulls together.”

Knaresborough’s FEVA was held between 10 and 19 August and in terms of tickets sold and the amount of events arranged was the biggest yet, and culminated in the day-long Picnic in the Park.
