One of the best things about Harrogate International Festival each summer are the free movies on the Big Screen on Montpellier Hill and the good news it’s happening this weekend.

It’s the fifth year the festival has invited the whole town to bring a picnic blanket to the free open air screenings of hit Hollywood movies - not to forget Wimbledon live - and the Harrogate Advertiser loves it.

Here’s our top 5 of what not to miss on The Big Screen this Saturday and Sunday starting at 10am each day.

1. Wimbleon – Men’s Final – Live (Sunday, 2pm)

Whether it’s Andy Murray or some Swiss bloke called Federer facing what we all presume will be world number one Novak Djokovic, the Wimbledon Men’s Final is always the big draw at the Big Screen, though sunshine is always helpful, too.

2. Ghostbusters (12A) (Sunday, 5pm)

Who you gonna call? Well, the answer is obvious - 80s stars Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver who never let themselves get spooked by gunge in this classic comedy-fantasy with the catchy theme tune.

3. How to Train Your Dragon 2 (PG) (Saturday, 10am)

The Dragons are back! They’ve faced enemies before, but Toothless and Hiccup have never faced a challenge like this. Gear up for explosive action!

4. Lego Movie (U) (Sunday, noon)

Enter the world of Lego, where everything is awesome! A hit movie and, reportedly, very good - even if you don’t like bricks!

5. Guardians of the Galaxy (12A) (Saturday, 7.15pm)

Irreverent, funny and thrilling, Chris Pratt leads an intergalactic cast in Marvel’s spectacular space adventure.
