HARROGATE Town’s latest pre-season fixture ended in a 3-0 home defeat to a strong Hartlepool outfit on Wednesday night.
The Monkey Hangers picked a near full strength side which included former Newcastle United legend Nobby Solano.
Town however had the first chance of the match with Ian Ross slamming a shot against the post.
After the restart ‘Pool took the lead when Neil Austin curled a shot home.
Colin Nish then made it 2-0 with a stinging shot before James Poole slotted home the third in the final minute.
Simon Weaver’s side will be looking for an immediate reaction when they travel to Harrogate Railway for the John Smith’s Cup on Saturday.
