Town and Rail’ suffer league losses

HARROGATE Town’s winning run was brought to a dramatic end away at Solihull Moors after Simon Weaver’s side slipped to a 5-1 defeat.

Paul Brayson’s 77th minute strike pulled the score back to 3-1, but two late goals for the home side sealed the heavy win.

Weaver’s men will be looking for a comeback on Tuesday night when they welcome Colwyn Bay to Wetherby Road (7.45pm ko).

Meanwhile in Evo-Stick First Division North, HARROGATE RAILWAY were beaten 1-0 at home to Trafford.

In the West Yorkshire League KNARESBOROUGH TOWN moved up to second in the division after a 2-1 victory away at Sherburn.
