Departing Harrogate director of rugby Mike Aspinall revealed his pride in guiding the club to a second consecutive Yorkshire Cup triumph.
Harrogate thrashed National Three North champions Sheffield Tigers 38-3 on Wednesday night, in an emotional occasion for many concerned with the Rudding Lane outfit.
After an 11-year association with Harrogate, Aspinall announced he was stepping away from rugby at the end of the season to concentrate on business interests.
He has insisted he would return to full-time coaching and did not rule out a return to Harrogate in the future if it was the right move for the club to progress.
Yorkshire Carnegie winger David Doherty will replace Aspinall as director of rugby next season.
