Harrogate RUFC Ladies are gearing up to contest the final of the RFU National Junior Plate final on Saturday.
The Rudding Lane outfit will travel to Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, to tackle Windsor Dames in one of six finals that are taking place on the day.
“It is a massive achievement to have made it to the final of this competition and it shows the progress the team have made throughout this season,” Harrogate player Sarah Kemp said.
“With seven wins in a row under our belt we go into the final in our best form to date.
“We hope to bring home some more silverware to add to the club’s collection.”
Lucy Barnett’s team signed off their Women’s National Challenge North Two East campaign with a 32-5 triumph over Bishop Auckland last time out.
A seventh consecutive victory saw them secure runners-up spot in the division, however, due to a re-structuring of the league, they will not find out until later this summer whether or not they have been promoted.
“There is a possibility that we could go up, but in all honesty I’m hoping for another season at this level so that we go up winning the league,” Kemp added.
“We won’t know until August or September.”
Evie Tonkin (2), Ailish Clear, Leah Birkin, Ellie Ward and Lauren Clarkson all touched down in the success over Bishop Auckland.
