HARROGATE Rugby Club have announced this week they have agreed a one month extension to their lease with landlords Crest.
This means they will not have to give Crest vacant possession of the Claro Road site which would have come into place yesterday.
In a statement to members, chairman Paul Barnard confirmed: “Negotiations regarding a more permanent solution to the ground location status are at an advanced stage and I will be presenting a motion at our AGM for members to vote on in this regard.”
The AGM will take place at Claro Road Clubhouse on Thursday June 23 at 7.30pm.
The committee hope as many members as possible will be able to attend the AGM to discuss this issue and vote on the way forward.
‘Gate’s elongated National Two North season on the pitch ended a week last Saturday with a victory over Manchester.
Coach Mike Aspinall announced in the aftermath his retirement from playing due to a persistent shoulder injury.
