Harrogate Hockey Club Girls U-12s are celebrating after finishing top of their Yorkshire Youth Hockey Premier League.
As well as a shiny new trophy, their prize is to represent North Yorkshire at the Mini Hockey Cup finals in March.
If they can repeat their achievements and win that, the team will then head to nationals as Yorkshire later in the year.
The girls’ success is down to sheer hard work and talent, according to their coach Kate Taylor.
“They’ve been doing alright and hadn’t finished top before but they began playing in the Premier League in September,” she said.
“Then on Sunday they won four out of five games in their league and finished top on the last day of the season.
“They are a super-talented group of girls who can go on to really big things.
“They have really risen to the occasion and shown a lot of enthusiasm.”
The girls, who are all aged between 10 and 11 have played in a league of six every month at York University’s hockey pitches.
They train every week with Taylor and fellow coach Claire Williams.
