Town's Farsley clash called off

HARROGATE Town's proposed home clash against Farsley Celtic on Tuesday has been called off.

The Football Conference advised Town at 5.05pm on Monday

that the game was off.

The League's governing body, the Football Conference, have issued an official statement with regards to Blue Square North outfit Farsley Celtic FC.

The statement reads as follows:

"The Football Conference has been advised at 5pm today (Monday 8th March 2010) that the Administrators of Farsley Celtic FC and the consortium attempting to broker a deal with the Administrators have failed again to reach any agreement and as a consequence the fixture between Harrogate Town and Farsley Celtic scheduled for Tuesday 9th March 2010 has been postponed.

"Upon instructions from the Administrators that the club are unable to fulfil another fixture, this now means that Farsley Celtic face three charges in relation to Football Conference Rule 8.6.

"Due to the seriousness caused by this latest breach, the Board of the Football Conference will be discussing this as a matter of urgency tomorrow (Tuesday 9 March)."

In UniBond First Division North HARROGATE RAILWAY will look to make it three wins in a row tonight (Tuesday) when they travel to fellow strugglers Salford City (7.45pm ko).
