Harrogate are in action for the first time in 2013 on Saturday, with a trip to National Three North strugglers Kendal (kick-off 2pm).

Gate are pushing for promotion from the league, but will be wary of the side fighting for survival.

Kendal sank 28-13 at mid-table Waterloo before Christmas, while ‘Gate cranked up the pressure on leaders Chester with a 34-9 win over Burnage.

The sides met in the league in September, and Gate came out on top, thrashing their visitors 58-31.

Gate team manager Graham Siswick had his side in for training over the Christmas break.

He is hoping the team can pick up their early-season form early this year.
