Railway U-15s take three points from Pannal
HARROGATE Railway U-15s battled it out for a 1-0 win away at PANNAL SPORTS, the hosts dominating the first half before Rail' took hold.
Railway hit the woodwork twice before the winner was scored from long range by Jake Stannard. However this game took a lot out of the boys and as some had also represented the District schools team the day before, Railway looked a tired team in the afternoon and lost 4-0 at Beeston.
RIPON CITY PANTHERS GIRLS U-14s’ excellent start to the season continued with a 1-0 win over SHERBURN WHITE ROSE in the West Division of theYork League.
Their hard fought victory came thanks to a late headed goal from Emma Ayton and some very good goalkeeping from Natalie Clayton.

In the first pair of games they suffered a 2-0 defeat and a 3-0 victory, Nick Patterson scoring a hat-trick to take the MOM award, with Aaron Weinhardt also taking an award.
In the second pair of games ‘Bridge produced a 1-1 draw and a 5-1 victory.
Greg Mitchell scored the only goal in the draw while the MOM award went to captain Tom Miller.
The final game goals came from Weinhardt, Harry Maltby and Jack Sheridan with a hat-trick who also took the MOM award.
PANNAL SPORTS U-11s PANTHERS worked hard at home to KIRK DEIGHTON, the A team losing both games despite some good football.
Patrick Taylor made numerous great stops in goal while Matthew Suffling was Man of the Match.
The B team also worked very hard to earn a 0-0 draw in the first game, with both Bruce Agars Smith and George Nicholson in control at the back.
The second game was narrowly lost, but Joseph Keane held the ball well up front and showed some great touches to pick up the Man of the Match.
RIPON CITY PANTHERS GIRLS U-11s emerged 1-0 winners over HARROGATE RAILWAY.
After the sides entered the break at 0-0, Panthers got their reward when top scorer Ellie Atkinson took her chance with a fine shot.
Lauryn Colman later hit the crossbar while Naomi Hodgson was named Panthers’ best player, Shannon Anderson also having an outstanding match.

In the first pair of games Pannal won the first game 6-0 and the second game 4-0 with goals by Sean Doyle, who scored a hat-trick, Jeremy Butterfield and Andrew Braithwaite who scored a brace each, Amory Lewis and Dan Cooper.
Man of the match awards went to Dominic Pratley and Louis Green.
In the second pair of games Pannal won the first game 4-1 and the second 5-0.
Goalscorers were Brandon Bligh who scored a hat-trick, Tom Broxup and George Robertson who scored two each, Tom Greenwood and Kyle Newbould.
Man of the match awards went to Kyle Newbould and Brandon Bligh.
RIPON CITY PANTHERS U-9s strong second half defending from Josuha Bramley and Alex Denton together with goals from James Groves (2) and Freddie Wills secured them a 3-1 victory over KIRK DEIGHTON.
This was followed up by a 2-2 draw with goals from George Pearson and James Groves.
Despite some strong midfield play from Adam Milner, and Luke Kendru's shot hitting the bar, Ripon's other matches ended with 2-0 victories for Kirk Deighton.
Man of the match awards went to James Groves and Nathan Clifford.
SCOTTON SCORCHERS U-11s took on BECKWITHSHAW SAINTS in the Nidderdale League, the U-11s winning 3-0 and 2-1, with goals by Harry Fewkes, man of the match Harry Wells and Sam Lockwood.
SCOTTON U-9s also notched two victories to remain unbeaten while the U-7s shared honours after goals by Matt Spink and Callum Penny.
