hsb Railway v Radcliffe Borough. Number 10. (130209M2a)
Harrogate Railway manager Billy Miller reckons this week’s league double-header against Evo-Stik sides from Manchester is just what his team needs after Saturday’s 4-0 loss at Ramsbottom.
Seventeenth-placed Railway host second-placed Trafford on Saturday (3pm) before making a Tuesday trip to Salford City (7.45pm).
Ahead of the clashes, the boss said: “It is a great opportunity for the players to test themselves against top sides.
“Trafford are doing well, but we can take heart from whaat they have done.
“They built a team, and kept its nucleus, which is exactly what we want to emulate.”
On Salford, who beat Blue Square North side Droylsden last week and are unbeaten in four league matches, Miller said: “One of their players is managing them at the moment, they are doing very well.
“It is another big game, but we are just three or four wins off safety, we have to keep ticking off the games.”
On Saturday, Railway’s Colin Hunter was sent off, and he will serve his one-match ban this weekend.
On Tuesday ight, Railway drew 0-0 at Ossett Town.
Meantime, Liam Hardy has returned to Railway, seeking to start matches.
Striker Jesus will also rejoin the squad.
