York City midfielder Tom Platt will return to Wetherby Road for a third time after Harrogate Town secured a loan deal until the end of the season.

Platt, 19, scored 10 goals in 22 games for Town in his two previous loan spells.

Town manager Simon Weaver said he wants to bulk up his squad for the arduous run in, with 19 league games remaining this season.

“We need a bigger squad for the end of the season,” he said.

“I like legs on the team. It is a game of athletics with us.

“It’s good when they are full time and training a lot.

“It suits us if York can’t give him the games.”

Platt made his debut for Town in the 6-2 win against Corby on March 6 last year.

The club then signed him again on September 28, 2012.

He scored four goals in the five league games he played for Town earlier this season.

Weaver said: ”He’s a good signing for the club. He compliments our style.

“He’s an attacking midfielder and we will try and get him in attacking areas.

“He’s scored some goals for us before. We are more than happy.”
