Football: Corby 2 Harrogate Town 1

HARROGATE Town failed to pick up a point from Saturday's season opener at Corby, beaten 2-1.

The hosts bossed the first half and went ahead in the 16th minute when Ben Mackey's cross-shot outfoxed 'keeper Craig Dootson.

And they made it 2-0 in the 65th when Andy Hall's header seemed to have put the game beyond doubt.

Graeme Armstrong's header put Town back in the game with ten minutes remaining but despite chances for Duncan Williams and Richard Pell Corby claimed all three points.
